When Your Soul Asks You To Pause

Respond When Your Soul Asks You To Pause

soul asks you to pauseIt has been a few weeks since I have written a blog. Something that I generally do twice a week.  And during this time, I have been following my soul’s quest to go deeper with my self-care. Specifically, to go completely from my intuition and the call of my heart instead of my mind. I am a driven and striving person who has largely operated from her mind. This period of my life is calling me to operate from the wisdom of my heart and soul. And on your journey, somewhere along the way, you will all reach a point where your soul asks you to pause.

In our Western Society, we are all so tuned into achieving outcomes and constantly producing. And in truth, everything is a cycle of periods of growth and expansion and periods of contraction. We seem to get squeamish when confusion, loneliness, lack of clarity, etc. shows up at our doors. And we start to do a number of “spiritual gymnastics” to get through whatever is showing up ASAP. You know what I mean – mindset practices, journaling, manifesting practices, etc.

Pema Chodren wisely invites us to rest in the middle instead of moving left or right. Her book, When Things Fall Apart, is the perfect guide for this period in my life. I am taking the time to meet the emptiness in me, the confusion in me, the one wondering who I would be if I wasn’t caring for others all the time in me, and a cast of other experiences.

Tending When Your Soul Asks You To Pause

Remember my conversation from earlier in the year about becoming my own beloved? I shared my experience at the end of 2016 when I was guided through an experience of meeting my own Divine Masculine and learned how to deeply love myself instead of constantly seeking love, approval, and appreciation from outside sources.

I bring that experience up because when I went through it, I decided to dedicate 2017 to practices around self-love. And when I was asked to pause and let go of some big patterns and ways of being in the world a few weeks ago, I was thinking not again! Because I have paused a number of times in the past 2 years on this journey. “When do I get to move forward already??!” screamed my control freak.

And my inner critic started beating his drum at an alarmingly loud and obnoxious rate. I became frantic! Let me tell no lies about how the process feels.

But in the midst of the cast of characters clamoring for my attention, a deeper place in me asked me to slow down and trust this process. So despite the discomfort, I am tending deeply and trusting my soul.

How will you manage your relationship with you when your soul asks you to pause?

Managing When Your Soul Asks You to Pause

your soul asks you to pauseI learned very quickly that my usual mode of operation does not work in this place of pause. Of course, in an attempt to create comfort and security, I brought my usual patterns of behavior and ways of thinking into this place. It’s like having the wrong currency in a foreign country – completely useless!

So here is my formula for working through this phase.

  • Trust the process implicitly. Forget any notion that this is a mistake or something I have manifested by doing something wrong. My soul has me here for a reason and I am staying open to the process.
  • Stop wasting time worrying, wondering, or wiggling. I am learning to be more present with all of my experience than ever before.
  • Consult with my soul as the ultimate wisdom on this journey. Limit interactions with others who don’t get me or my journey while I am traversing this tender place.
  • Change my drive to try harder in my life to a drive to try harder at resting, restoring and pausing at a deep level.
  • Let go of all definitions of myself and all focus on outcomes. Who I am is up in the air. What I choose to keep is yet to be determined. What I am going to do with my time or life is uncertain. None of that matters in this place of deep pause.
  • Start collecting things and experiences that bring me joy and light me up for no apparent reason.
  • Get back to basics. Eat when I am hungry. Drink a lot of clean fluids. Spend time in nature. Fill my heart with the people I love in small doses. Rest when I am tired. Expect less of myself than ever before. Read things that touch my heart. Reconnect with the deepest rhythms of my nature.

These are the key steps for working through a period of time where your soul asks you to pause.

Until Next Time…

In following my inner rhythms, I won’t be posting regularly for a period of time during this pause. There are plenty of blogs to read and review, plenty of Facebook posts on my page to inspire you. And when it is time, I will return with an understanding of new parts of myself that will deepen my work with others.

Stop Toughing It Out!

Time To Stop Toughing It Out!

toughing it outAs I continue my journey of becoming my own beloved and reflect on the self-love summit, I have noticed something important. A number of themes are emerging that really speak to the heart of the transformation journey. One that is really standing out for me right now is the topic of toughing it out. Too many of us have learned to ignore our feelings and other parts of our experience that are not considered “okay” (according to who I wonder?).

Here are a few of the common symptoms of toughing it out:

  • We swallow feelings and let them fester inside.
  • Others treat us poorly and we don’t speak up.
  • Our needs come last after everyone else is “happy” or comfortable (which never happens).
  • We stop pursuing our passions and wait for a magic some day.
  • Our body tries to get our attention and we just keep pushing on because there isn’t enough time. Eventually, something big happens and we suffer as a result.
  • We are exhausted, but afraid to slow down or rest.
  • Instead of living a unique life that speaks to us, we try to fit in and be more like others around us.

Tune In Instead Of Toughing It Out

The obvious remedy is to tune in more deeply to ourselves and our experience. There are times when the most loving thing to do is notice that life is really challenging. Or that despite our best efforts we can’t seem to make headway.

There are not enough spiritual gymnastics in the world to help us in certain situations. And instead of admitting we are struggling. Or instead of asking for help when we need it the most, we start beating ourselves up using our inner critic. See if any of these statements sound familiar to you:

  • You should have known!
  • Nothing you do is ever right.
  • You need to try harder.
  • No one will love you if you feel, think or act that way.
  • You are always doing this wrong!

It’s all too familiar, isn’t it! Alas, enough of the critic’s messages, who wants to spend time in that wasteland anyway? But I am guessing you know exactly what I am talking about because we have all been there (more than once).

What if instead of all of that response, you found yourself asking what you needed most instead of how can you tough this out?

Help Yourself First Instead of Toughing It Out

toughing it outOnce you tune in, then you have the good fortune of knowing what you most need. Is your inner child screaming for your attention in some way? Are you in need of a supportive friend to listen or give you a hand? Do you need some time in Mother Nature to calm your mind and deepen your breathing?

Once you get over the need to tough it out, a whole new world of possibilities opens up for you. And in the end, if we could just remember, that the love, attention, approval, appreciation, and every other thing we seek from external sources is a neon sign. The neon sign is reminding you to stop, tune into what is true for you, and love yourself more fiercely than ever before.

Seeing A Horse About A Man

My Adventure: Seeing A Horse About A Man

about a manIn Westerns, the famous line is always, “I’m going to see a man about a horse.” In my case the exact opposite was true. I saw a horse about my relationship with men. And what a mind-blowing experience with these gorgeous creatures! It all started when I met a woman who does Equine assisted coaching a few weeks ago. We stayed in touch after the coaching meeting we both attended and then I chose to try some work with her gorgeous horse, Blue Angel. I went to the demo fully intending to work on what to do about my work and finding the sweet spot in my career. Low and behold, what arose in the arena was about a man.

Turns out, that lucky for me, one of the other horses in the herd was male. Sly was the perfect energetic creature to work with me on this important topic. I want to reference my blog from earlier this week about healthy masculine and feminine energy. In it were qualities of the healthy masculine that allow the feminine to relax and open up.

The scene started in an all too familiar way. Sly was busy trying to get it on with one of the horses in the herd. He was pushing all over that smaller horse’s boundaries and hell-bent on getting what he wanted. And then he came over to me and started invading all of my energetic boundaries as well. Demanding attention and physical contact of course!

Ladies we have all lived through this experience in different ways one too many times. For me, I have repeated the pattern with every man I have been in an intimate relationship with during my life.

Shifting My Energy About A Man

One of the amazing qualities of horses is their absolute unfiltered response to the energy we are projecting. So Sly was the perfect teacher of the bad habits I have created for myself in relationships with men. I haven’t demanded that they respect or honor me and what I need. It took time, but I learned that I could ask for what I need from men without fear of punishment.

Here’s a look at the lessons about a man I learned in a short 30 minutes with Sly:

  • I am allowed to energetically project the terms of engagement with male energy. I can demand physical space and not let them close to my heart until they have shown me respect.
  • It is okay to keep making my needs known until the masculine gets me and my needs. I don’t have to become submissive and surrender my needs to his masculine energy.
  • Masculine energy respects me when I am clear about what I am asking for and when I communicate both energetically and with words what I need in each moment.
  • I realized how much I had always worshiped my Dad. And how I just wanted him to love me for the creative and sensitive person I was designed to be. Unfortunately, as a result of wanting him to love me, I surrendered that person and have spent 40 years of my life trying to be more like everyone else. During the time I was working through this revelation, the female horse, Blue Angel, was wandering around the outskirts of the arena searching everywhere.  What a mirror!

Spending Time With Horses About A Man

about a manI am still reeling from the experience of yesterday. At the end of my experience with Sly we had moments to just be in heartfelt connection. He had some really powerful things to communicate with me using just his heart. And after 5 minutes of this communication, my heart was so blown open it was like jelly! Quivering, wide open, and every wall around it pulled down.

How many of us can say we have felt that recently?

The messages between us are mine and his to hold. But the loving energy was so transforming that I will never be the same again. I felt what it was to be in a relationship with masculine energy without a single wall up. And I felt him let me know I was enough.

This isn’t my usual blog post, I am still processing and recovering from the energy surge of the experience about a man. But I trust that the words I am inspired to share with you will touch your heart as they are meant to in this moment.

Knowing How To Let Others Step-up

Knowing How To Let Others Step-up

let others step-upI am continuing to develop my own internal beloved this year. And as the year unfolds and I continue the practices I started in December of 2016, I am noticing some big shifts. One of those shifts is really healthy masculine energy emerging in my life. Specifically, I am noticing how I can let my guard down enough to let others step-up. This is a sure fire way to allow myself to relax into a more receptive mode which is healthy feminine energy. So many male members of my life are stepping up and it’s fun to sit back and take notice!

I became very aware that because of really harsh masculine energy early in my life, I have for the most part not expected much from men. And in truth, I have allowed men to treat me with little or no respect. Upon reflecting on this habit, I realized that I somehow imagined I was unworthy of love. But this work to become my own beloved has highlighted where I am not cherishing myself and expecting others to do the same.

Recently, I am creating boundaries with some of the men in my life. I am asking for help and letting them step-up when previously I wouldn’t have even imagined being that vulnerable. And I am allowing myself to fully feel all of the emotions that need to be released from years of harsh relationships with men.

Trusting Enough To Let Others Step-up

Let be honest that this is a real dance. I am testing my own trust issues and I am allowing myself to be vulnerable in ways that I previously would not have. Here is a short list of the many ways I have found healthy masculine energy supporting me lately.

  • Telling my Dad when a job went south and I didn’t know how to pay my rent. And he didn’t criticize me like he might have in the past. He listened and validated how hard it must be for me. And then told me that sometimes letting impossible things go is important because I am too valuable to stay in that situation. (Pick up my  jaw!)
  • Asking my partner in a workshop experience to help design social media because I realized how triggering it is for me to deal with email and social media. Why? Because my ex-husband used email and social media to stalk me and my family. It’s okay that I am triggered and it’s even better that I was willing to be vulnerable and admit how hard it is for me to manage. The best news, Brian stepped right up!
  • Setting boundaries with a person I was doing work for that didn’t respect me. Which led me to lay out my terms of engagement with him. He was unable to meet them and we parted ways as coworkers. And I didn’t apologize for how I felt or what I needed in a work relationship. I also didn’t let things deteriorate so much that our friendship was crushed by the disconnect in working styles between us.
  • Enjoying being mentored by my Webmaster for the board I am on. He is so gentle and helpful as he teaches me the ins and outs of my new role.

Letting Yourself Be Supported

let others step-upReflecting on how the healthy and supportive masculine is showing up in my life has been amazing!

I want to take a brief time out in this discussion and pull some key traits of the Divine masculine energy for your reference.

  • Logic, intellect, and reasoning
  • Protective and strong – not just for self, but all he cares about and for
  • Responsible and a provider for others
  • Empowered and able to stand-up for self
  • Focused and forward moving
  • Generous to others – able to give and receive freely
  • Encourages others to grow
  • Able to be curious and open about spirituality, feelings, and his place in life

This is a larger discussion for another day, but this Divine masculine energy resides in each of us. Part of my work to become my own beloved has been cultivating this inside of myself. And as a result of this cultivation, I am seeing the results of the inner work reflected in my relationships with men. Letting others step-up is a Divine feminine energy and we need Divine masculine energy to feel comfortable enough to receive at this level.

Are you comfortable enough to let others step-up for you?

Following What Lights You Up

Are You Following What Lights You Up?

lights you upHappy Easter! I am struck by a few things as the energy shifts once again. We are moving into warmer weather in the Midwest and it feels like the energy is picking up and new possibilities are springing to life. If you haven’t cleared some clutter mentally, physically and emotionally, do that now! Make space in your life for new possibilities. And as you make space, it’s a great time to reflect on what lights you up.

As far as I can tell, I want more of what lights me up in my life and less of what I have to or should do. I am not saying that I don’t want to pay bills or take care of important things in my life. But I am saying, I do want my life to feel like less of a grind. Can you relate?

I moved a month ago and am taking my time unpacking. I am clearing clutter, and really figuring out what I love and what I am tolerating in my life. The physical clutter is pretty obvious, but underneath there are layers of emotional and mental clutter. I could spend a lot of time trying to unearth the emotional and mental clutter (for months and years). But instead, I am choosing to focus on what I want more of in my life.

Tuning Into What Lights You Up

lights you up

I have mentioned in previous posts the importance of noticing what makes you feel alive and what makes you feel good. What lights you up is a slight variation. Let me demonstrate by using the graphic as an example.  A dear friend of mine introduced me to the Bitmoji app a couple of months ago and I fell madly in love! It allows me to dress a million ways, say a bunch of really cute things, and in general be cool and creative without a lot of effort. It totally lights me up. In honor of Easter, Bitmoji has bunny suits and of course, a purple one, which is my favorite. So now, my messages to family and friends include my Bitmoji Avatar in a bunny suit. I couldn’t be happier with this little creative expression!

What lights you up might be a small and slightly quirky thing. Or a bunch of quirky things. It might be favorite foods, favorite television shows (I wait excitedly each week for the next episode of “Once Upon A Time”), favorite shoes or clothes, those things you love to buy even if you don’t really need them (fun and flashy post-it notes and purple pens for me), etc. And just yesterday, a colleague of mine who recently returned from London sent me this amazing shoe site that I am now drooling over big time called Irregularchoice.com. In particular, I am in love with the Parisian dreams called Meadow Mist (yes, the ones that I linked you too).  Bottom line, I am never too old for some fantastical paraphernalia of any kind. My child-like nature and love of the fantastical is part of what lights me up.

Identifying What Lights You Up

I gave you a peek at a few of the things that light me up and make my life extra delish. Can you identify those for yourself?

Here are some questions to get you started. What:

  • things do you spend money on even if you don’t need them?
  • do you love to spend time doing by yourself or with others?
  • do you notice when you are out and about that just make you happy or excited?
  • leaves you feeling energetically open and alert?
  • do you daydream about or always remain curious about?
  • surprises and delights you?
  • do you find yourself waiting for the new release of?

Take time to really explore what lights you up and then invite more of that into your life!

Coaching Offerings:

Finally, based on feedback from coaching clients, I have 2 new coaching offerings.

A new coaching package to help you deepen your self-love and self-acceptance called Become Your Own BelovedIn this 3 month journey, you will learn how to connect with your deepest self and nurture your relationship internally. Instead of overgiving and being hyper-responsible. And instead of constantly searching outside of yourself for validation, approval, appreciation, and other forms of external support you will become fully aligned internally. This alignment will change all of your relationships in the external world.

I am also launching a 4-hour intensive experience that will help you move the creative project you have been dreaming of from an idea in your head to a reality you speak to life. This special intensive is called Speak Your Creative Project to Life.

Love Yourself More, Not Less

Love Yourself More, Not Less

love yourself moreIt’s a full moon today and for Empaths like myself, the energy is extremely heightened. I woke early this morning and was contemplating what I would want to focus on for this blog. It took a while, but I realized that in truth, I wanted to focus on self-love. And specifically, what arose, is a teaching about how in any situation you should love yourself more, not less. This is not a message that is broadcast in our current society that is focused on creating outcomes and getting things done. But as I scan the world, what I see missing is each person’s ability to live with an open heart. So I advocate that we all stop turning away from ourselves when our thoughts or emotions challenge us. And instead turn inward to love the one who is thinking or feeling these challenging thoughts.

It’s not how I grew up that’s for sure and I am guessing you might have a similar experience.  Most of us were taught as children to turn away from ourselves or be embarrassed by “negative emotions” or “negative thoughts.” All this does is create more tension and anxiety when our nervous systems are already overstimulated.

A Simple Practice To Love Yourself More

What if each time you worried, grew anxious or afraid, or felt yourself shrinking in some way your response was to love yourself more, not less?

Here’s a way to make it easy. Let’s use the example of worry. When you worry, think of the opposite emotion or state of mind, which to me is peace of mind. As you notice yourself worrying, put your hand on your heart and tell yourself that you are blessed with peace of mind. When you are anxious or afraid, decide the opposite and then put your hand on your heart and tell yourself that you are blessed with that energy.

The formula is simple. The practice will literally transform your life one challenging thought or emotion at a time.

This is self-compassion in action. Because you are loving what arises and never abandoning yourself in the midst of a difficult or challenging mental or emotional circumstance.

A Paradigm Shift That Calls You To Love Yourself More

love yourself moreThe truth is, we are experiencing a huge energetic paradigm shift. And that shift is about not turning away and not denying. It’s not more spiritual to internally berate yourself when you have a challenging thought or emotion. There are not a list of things to do that make you worthy of spiritual grace and mercy. That is all old paradigm thinking.

If you truly want to see changes in your life and start to attract more of what you are seeking – your true heart’s desires – then begin to love yourself more. Because, the more love you extend to yourself, the more love you radiate out in the world. And in turn, the more you touch the lives of others without doing anything special. Which means that in turn, your life takes a shape that supports and nurtures you.

Part of this new paradigm is the sense that there is a laser beam on many of our old unconscious ways of being the world.  These unconscious ways of being are becoming more transparent and in our faces, so they can be transformed once and for all. It might feel scary and overwhelming, but your ability to work gently with yourself instead of harshly will change everything.

Our goal is to provide hope, encouragement, and information about how #selfcare is necessary in order to extend love to others. Please share with anyone who you might think would benefit from this workshop. More details coming later this week.

Until Next Time…

Life Design: Expressing Your Authentic Voice

Life Design: Expressing Your Authentic Voice

expressing your authentic voiceI just returned from a long weekend at the beach last week. Already I am missing the ocean, 70 degree days, and constant sunshine. But alas, spring is coming in Minnesota! Right? I have been reflecting a lot these past 2 weeks on my personal life design. And I have landed on the revelation that how you live your life is your best opportunity to showcase one thing: expressing your authentic voice.

In my fifteen years of being a coach, and my 2o plus years of studying metaphysics, energy healing, stress management, meditation and holistic modalities of every kind, I have been on one quest. And that quest is designing a life that is authentic to me. I know that the word authentic is highly overused and thrown around these days, so forgive my use of it here. But the word is so important. Dictionary.com has a great definition that I am going to quote here: “representing one’s true nature or beliefs.”

I have been like a tracker, seeking clues and following bread crumbs to design a life that truly matters to me. I have taken circuitous routes, wandered on lonely roads, crawled at times, and wondered why I ever started the journey in the first place. The truth is the quest for a life where you are expressing your authentic voice is not an easy journey. Then again, true transformation never is!

The Journey To Expressing Your Authentic Voice

So much of what you read out there right now in coaching and other fields has a lot of promises about the joys of the transformation journey. The truth is transformation is a process of waking up that is fraught with challenges of all kinds. But the more clear you become about who you really are at the deepest level, and the more you slowly build (piece by piece at times) a life that leaves you expressing your authentic voice in the world, the more passion and joy will find you and fill your heart.

The month of March felt like a shedding month to me. Specifically, I felt like I was shedding my lifestyle skin like a snake would. A number of things that simply no longer fit well in my life became painfully obvious. And my only obvious choice was to let go of these ways of being in the world.

I cleared massive amounts of clutter from my clothing closet, and as I am unpacking, I am moving from corner to corner of my new abode with a prayer in my heart. “Show me what to release and what to keep.” The pile of not keeping grows by the day.

I have had to show myself a great deal of compassion as physically I am still limited in my ability to do a number of things and will be for a few more weeks. Income that I had been counting on dried up over night and I was left not sure how to pay my rent (and it worked out).

Becoming More Vibrant

expressing your authentic voiceIn all of the chaos of shedding, a dear friend and colleague noted that I looked more vibrant than ever. That’s what shedding does for all of us. It creates more energetic clarity and the signal we send out grows stronger and more brilliant. I trust that all I have lost is simply a way to make space for all I am calling into my life. And the list of things I am calling in is long!

The reason I share some of this is to highlight that it can feel like everything is going wrong. It can feel like you are taking 100 steps backward on your journey to expressing your authentic voice. And the truth is, you are simply creating a more clear signal energetically. So, welcome the clearing even if it terrifies you.

The most important thing to speak at this moment in this story is the importance of accepting all of your feelings as they arise. There will be grief for what you lose. You might feel anger and heartache that simmer. It could be that resistance rises up and makes you dig your heels in. And then, just when all of those emotions get heated up, no question self-doubt, terror, and vulnerability will sneak in. And it can seem impossible to consider ideas like having faith and trusting the process. None of those feelings are an indication that you are doing something wrong.

Give yourself space and time, tend to your fragile heart, be extra vigilant about self-care, and feel what needs to be felt!

Riding the Waves of Transformation

The journey of true transformation is a lifelong journey, not a destination. You will never arrive. Because you are ever changing. The more you trust your soul (aka your deepest essence) to run the show, the easier all of this will be.

And, it’s not easy and there are not guarantees. It’s a grand adventure with wild twists and turns. Since no one gets out alive, I think the odds are stacked hugely in our favor. And for me, a self-proclaimed control freak extraordinaire, the biggest deal is letting go of all of the big and little ways I demand my life to line up with my “plans.” A lot of my plans have been stripped from me lately and truthfully, I have never felt more freedom. Who knew?

Travel To Stimulate Your Creativity

Travel: A Great Way To Stimulate Creativity

travelHi everyone! I am writing a quick update and then resharing an old post from a year ago. I am spending a long weekend in sunny So Cal on the beach. I stay hear at least once a year because it feels like my second home. As I was thinking about writing a blog today, I realized that I am already chillin after being in So Cal for a short time. I spent 2 hours walking on the beach after having the most amazing vegetarian, organic breakfast ever! I remembered how much travel sparks my creativity.

So here’s the link to last year’s post about new experiences that stimulate creativity. I am reminded that for me the ocean air, new food – amazing Mexican and seafood, new sights, new smells, and a different way of life work magic for my creativity. The ocean is where I go when I need a reboot. And I happen to have family 6 blocks from the ocean – lucky me!

travelAnd this picture is just for fun, here’s one of my housemates, Little.  We go way back!  She is 9 already. She has moved into my bedroom which is just fine with me.

This post is short and sweet so I can get back to the sun and the ocean air.

Until Next Time…

Deepening My Journey Into The Unknown

Deepening My Journey Into The Unknown

journey into the unknownI am finally on the mend.  My collarbone is back in place and my infection is improving each day. I had to pause several times in the past week and stop to consider what this process has awakened in me. As it turns out, this lived experience had a number of messages tucked in the lines of the story. First, I was learning to receive and trust others to be there for me. Second, I was learning to trust this journey into the unknown. And finally, I was noticing that my sensitive nature required extra attention during my recovery.

Here’s how it all started for me.  I read a post online about how we all need to stop whining and dig deeper. Which lead me to believe that I was whining in my life. Dislocated collarbone and infection, just moved and unable to pack or settle in, and no down time from work in sight. Yet still, I imagined that somehow I wasn’t trying hard enough or doing something right in my life. Isn’t it easy for us to imagine that this is how it works?

The Truth About How Life Really Works

We read so much about the law of attraction and in the end, believe that somehow if we have negative thoughts or go through hard times we are doing something wrong. Nothing could be further from the truth.  Here’s a quote I love that has been a great reminder during the past 2 weeks.

“Most of us do not take these situations as teachings. We automatically hate them. We run like crazy. We use all kinds of ways to escape — all addictions stem from this moment when we meet our edge and we just can’t stand it. We feel we have to soften it, pad it with something, and we become addicted to whatever it is that seems to ease the pain.”
Pema Chödrön, When Things Fall Apart: Heartfelt Advice for Hard Times

When Making The Journey Into The Unknown

Instead, I learned that when life has me hanging by a thread and down on my knees, it is okay to lose faith and let others know that I am struggling. I am fiercely independent and not accustomed to counting on others for much so I was definitely stretched. Fortunately, I have amazing friends and family who stepped up to help me finish packing and move.

And I also have a wise guide who helped me reframe. Her first advice was to slow down and ask each day, what I most needed to get through my day. Some days it was ordering food that I didn’t have to cook. Other days, it was leaving more extra time to rest and just be. Then she reminded me that life is a mystery and even when we do all the right things to create the life we truly love, there are not any guarantees. It helped me give myself a lot of permission to experience what I was experiencing and stop trying so hard to escape the situation.

Rest And Receive

rest and receiveI am in a unique position of taking the time to receive and rest. I have an infection that caused me to pass out and tumble down the stairs, dislocating my collar bone. Sheesh! Talk about a little crazy stuff. I also just moved over the weekend to a lovely new townhome. Morale of my story today is that I am reposting a blog from last fall about exquisite self-care. Because that seems to be the lesson of the hour for me! And anyone who wants to radiate more heart light into the world needs to know how to rest and receive.

Here’s the link to my Exquisite Self-Care post.

I have a new page, Resourceson my website that has the link to my new book and the companion audio meditation.
